Here are some ways you can join in the Love INC mission of mobilizing the Church to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ:

  • Pray for the ministry of Love in the Name of Christ.
  • Contact Whatcom Love INC office at 671-4055 to find out how you and your church can become part of a Love INC network, to volunteer, or to donate.
  • Give financially to the ministry of Love In the Name of Christ. Your tax-deductible contribution will help us make links between people in need and the church.
  • Help with the upcoming fundraiser.
  • Donate gently used furniture.

 

We also have a convenient online form that list our immediate opportunities for you to serve. Please fill out any areas you may be interested and we will call you upon receipt. Some of those needs include:

  • Financial counselor/assistants (see below for more detail).
  • Child care.
  • Transportation to appointments.
  • Home repairs.
  • Phone volunteers (receive calls at our office and fill out a Case Intake).

 

Financial Counselors/Assistants
We all know that the media has been full of bad news about the economy. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their jobs, had their hours cut back, lost their homes, their retirement accounts, etc.

As compassionate believers in the Lord Jesus do you ever sit and ponder what you as one person can do to help affect a positive change in the lives of people who have been negatively impacted by life's circumstances around them? Have we got an awesome ministry opportunity for you to do just that!

There will be a new Financial Counseling Class beginning with the Preview night on September 9th, 2010. The first session is September 16th, and it will be held for a total of 12 Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Bellingham Covenant Church.  The Lynden Budget Boot Camp will be held on Tuesday evenings at Faith Reformed Church, with a training session prior.  The Preview night is September 7th, and the first session is September 14th.
