On March 15, 2017, we are inviting all nonprofit boards and all staff to join us at The Firs Conference Center, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for a time of united worship and prayer, followed by a lunch catered by The Firs. This is a hosted lunch sponsored by a Christian businessman who is delighted to bless you in this way. Asking nonprofit workers to RSVP to email@example.com or call Love INC for more information at 715-1175.
We value prayer, unity, transformation, and following Christ’s examples of loving others and especially caring for those in need. This will be a time for Christians working in local nonprofits to unite in prayer and exalt Jesus Christ as Lord and seek His face to shine on our city.
Let us lift our hearts and hands to God in heaven. Lamentations 3:41
COMPASSION MINISTRY NETWORK
Seeking to connect those working locally in church compassion and benevolence ministry.
SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, January 24th, 2017, 8AM. Location Trinity Lutheran Grace Center, 2408 Cornwall Ave. RSVP to Shannon@whatcomloveinc.org.
The Call from Christ is to be responsive and compassionate to our neighbor in need.
The challenge: Every day churches are seeing the same need and responding to the same need without learning what is already being done. How can local churches get informed on what compassion efforts are already being made by other churches?
The Solution: Love INC is hosting a Compassion Ministry Network to facilitate communication among local churches in the area of our compassion efforts.
A few benefits for engaging with this:
- Get informed on what other church compassion efforts exist
- Reduce the reduplication of effort
- Identify areas of need that are untouched
- Together as the Church in the city, we can be better stewards of our resources
- Have conversations with the benevolence care coordinators of other churches
- Unity among the church as we serve.

With thanksgiving, the Love INC board has announced the appointment of Shannon Williamson to serve as Executive Director. Shannon comes to us most recently as a ministry team member and intern supervisor for the Light of the World Prayer Center for the past seven years. Other duties at the Prayer Center have included teaching, vision setting and communication to supporters.
In making its nomination, the Board recognized Shannon as a person with deep faith, excellent communication skills, understanding of poverty, and experience in non-profit ministry leadership. She is committed to a firm grounding in prayer and is keen to engage “hands-on” to achieve Love INC goals.
